The HKSTAM Annual Conference 2006-2007 in conjunction with the 3rd Jiangsu–Hong Kong Forum on Mechanics and Its Application will be held on 10 March 2007 (Saturday) for the whole day in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, followed by AGM of electing the forthcoming Executive Committee members for 2006/2007. The main agenda

of the meeting include:

(1) Technical presentations by two invited speakers (Distinguished lectures on solids and fluid respectively, 50 minutes for each lecture) and by the members of the HKSTAM (15

minutes for each talk, please submit one A4-page abstract in MS word file to Dr. Yi-Kuen Lee, the Secretary before 9th Feb. 2007, the abstract must include title, authors, address and

email, EXACTLY within one A4-page)

(2) Election of the Executive Committee Members (Vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and members-at-large), please send the nomination form to Dr. Yi-Kuen Lee on or before 20 Feb.

2007. To prepare the annual conference, the executive committee meeting will be held two weeks before the annual meeting in Feb, 2007 (will announce later).

(3) Report of the president and the treasurer.
